Company History 

Exclusive Auto started as a buyout of another shop and then a complete rebirth of a small shop located in Uptown Yucaipa, known at the time by its loyal customers as D & W Automotive. D & W had been established originally in 1988 by two partners – Duane and Wayne – thus the D and W.

The name Exclusive Auto was the creation of incoming partner, Michael Proud. It was felt that the word "Exclusive" portrayed the true course of where the small auto repair shop was heading. So with a name fueled by feeling and a driven purpose, Exclusive Auto was born on November 1st, 1994. On that date the two new partners, Michael and Rebecca, had bought out the "W" portion of the D&W and teamed up with Duane and Sandie.

Exclusive Auto set a steady pace of strong growth over the next eight years using solid business ethics that people seemed to naturally be drawn to. The small shop's parking area just couldn't contain the flow of clients' cars anymore. So Exclusive Auto ramped up and acquired the largest, most well known transmission business and property in the area, known as Joe's Automatic Transmissions. This new expansion of Exclusive took place on June 12th, 2002. Since then Exclusive Auto's success has continued to grow and flourish.

Meet Our Crew

Administrative Coordinator

Stacy Console

Stacy comes to us from the recreational vehicle industry where she worked for Fleetwood Motor Homes and Thor Industries. Her extensive training is in technical service and customer relations, but her desire mainly focused on the customer service side of the industry. Her understanding is that every client is unique and she strives to give everyone complete "individual care". While searching for a great community to raise her family, Stacy relocated to the Yucaipa area back in 2003. Stacy is the proud mother of her two sons and is extremely active within our community sports programs. As a family, they also enjoy going camping, hiking, and motocross riding.

Service Managers/Client Liason

Brittany Carvajal

Brittany, a Yucaipa High School and University of Redlands alum, has been an incredible addition to the Exclusive Auto family. After receiving her Bachelor's degree from U of R, Brittany moved to our states' capital where she worked for a professional consulting firm actually located directly across the street. But as time wore on she decided to pull the stakes and relocate back to her hometown once again. Fortunately for the clients and other team members of Exclusive Auto Brittany has joined our front office staff. As Office Coordinator she has the fulfilling job of helping our clients personally and assisting with the management here on site. To add to her points of interest, Brittany also follows her heart and enjoys spending time with her part time career as a musician and performs at venues throughout the Inland Empire.

Jesus Alcala

Jesus has put his associate's degree in electronic engineering to work and has been implementing custom high tech luxury devices into vehicles for over 15 years. He has also worked as a technical support representative for a large electronics company, fixing everybody's most difficult technical problems during just a short online chat or call-in. We feel our clients will enjoy this combination of skills and experience when working with him. Also being completely fluent in Spanish, he is able to communicate very well with our clients who prefer the language. When Jesus isn't helping Exclusive Auto's clients, he is with his main love, his wife and two daughters.

Technicians

David Cross David started his automotive career by attending Universal Technical Institute. He furthered his skills by continuing with the advance BMW specialty training. After graduating as a BMW level 1 Master Technician, he was recruited directly into a BMW dealership located in LA where he then spent well over a decade as a true master in this field. Exclusive Auto is honored that David has come aboard our team here to offer this extremely valuable knowledge and skill to our local community. David, his wife, and 2 daughters have been a part of Yucaipa for over 20 years and now he is able to enjoy spending much more quality time with his family.

Louis Jeune One of Louis' greatest pleasures is diagnosing and repairing a vehicle that other people cannot figure out. Being an ASE Master Certified Technician, that makes this task possible in a timely manner. He obtained an associates degree in automotive technology from A.A.I. to start the ball rolling back in 1990, but has continued his extensive training to become the true master he is today. When Louis isn't figuring out someone else's unsolved problem, he loves to spend time with his wife and child or enjoys a relaxing ride on his sports bike.

Brent Francis Brent has been interested in the wonders of repairing things since childhood. He started his formal training to become a professional by attending Universal Technical Institute and then underwent a more advanced training program for Mercedes Benz. Upon completion of the course he secured a position with Mercedes Benz of Laguna Niguel and furthered his training to become a fully certified Mercedes Master Technician. However, deciding to relocate to be closer to home, Brent joined our team here at Exclusive Auto. Now our community is able to benefit from his skills and he is able to spend more quality time with his wife and two kids.

Client Support/Property Management

Daryl Wortham

Daryl has had a love for people and cars throughout his entire life. With a background in working for Saturn as well as professional vehicle transportation, he now enjoys working with our clients and providing them assistance with the services Exclusive Auto has to offer. When you see one of our very prominent and noticeable courtesy shuttles driving around town, you can extend a friendly hello to Daryl. And because he is a local resident, Daryl truly does help our clients as if he were helping his neighbors. When away from work he enjoys fishing and boating with his wife, four kids and eight grandkids.

Fernando Lopez

Fernando had been a long time resident growing up in Long Beach, but then discovered the more family orientated community of this wonderful area. So he packed up and made the move over a decade ago to call Yucaipa home. His background supervising as a warehouse manager for an extremely large cement and waste truck assembly facility was recently changed so he could be closer to home where he now enjoys taking care of our clients and fellow crew members. Fernando is a family man right to his very core. When he's not on the clock here at Exclusive Auto, he enjoys traveling to new places and camping in the great outdoors with his wife and children.

General Manager

Jim Wiley

Jim has been around the world a few times and he has landed right back here in Yucaipa to stay. Starting off in the aircraft industry in the late 60's, he's worked for agencies such as NASA and the USAF as an aircraft technician for the elite team of the Thunderbirds. He decided to end the world traveling with the Thunderbirds, so he then became saturated in the automotive industry. He has been a master at sales and has performed as a sales manager for Ford until starting with Exclusive Auto recently. He is certified by Ford, Nissan, GM, and Honda. Wanting now to stay local in Yucaipa and being a true people person, Jim has come on board with Exclusive Auto where he enjoys building strong relationships with our valued clients. Jim has balanced his automotive life with being a martial arts instructor since 1983, and raising his two grown children.

Quality Control

Duane Feldman

Many long time local residents have known about Duane here in Yucaipa as one of the original starting partners of D&W Automotive from 1988. But he even started his professional auto trade long before that, working for Jack Feely Volkswagen, Chuck Obershaw Toyota, and Tom Bell Toyota. He even drew on knowledge received by the USAF that provided special training in the field of electronics. During his career he also became an ASE master technician. Duane is known by anybody that has met him for his extremely kind heart and soul. His meticulous nature has moved him into the critical position of final quality control inspector to assure that every "t" is crossed and every "i" is dotted here at Exclusive Auto. Being saturated in the auto industry since 1970, it's more than safe to say Duane "knows cars". After successfully running a business and raising three kids, he now enjoys a good old baseball game, time at the theater, or a cruise on his motorcycle.

Financial Administrator

Rebecca Saavedra

Rebecca, daughter of Duane, has been a well-known face of Exclusive Auto since the beginning back in 1994. She has kept the backbone of Exclusive Auto straight and true throughout all the years. Rebecca's knowledge and understanding of vehicles is able to impress or intimidate almost anyone. While performing her duties as an accounts manager, she was also a full time service advisor. She's learned the trade from every angle and even managed to help work on cars. Aside from all the years of practical application, she has been trained on specialty courses for business management. As Exclusive Auto grew, Rebecca found it necessary to concentrate her complete efforts to the business side of it. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, bowing and riding motorcycles.

Executive Director

Mike Proud

Michael has been interested in the automotive field since 1982. He started his professional career by going to Universal Technical Institute in 1985. After graduating he worked for a well-run independent repair facility for a while in the South bay area, and thus the seed was planted to own his own repair shop one day. But eager to acquire more knowledge, Michael went to work for Mercedes Benz. There he stayed until 1994, at which time he acted on the idea to start Exclusive Auto. Along with well established skills as a Mercedes Benz master technician, Michael also had the natural ability to push a business thru layer upon layer of growth. By the 7th year and the acquisition of the Yucaipa Boulevard property, Exclusive Auto had become the largest repair facility in the area. Starting in 2006, Michael did full time training in automotive management and personal growth. During that training, based on the actual business practices of Exclusive Auto, Michael was asked by invitation only to join the Graduate Advanced Program of the largest automotive management-consulting firm in the United States. He plans on using every ounce of knowledge learned to better run Exclusive Auto each and every day. On a personal note, Michael is very involved in serving God as a member of Yucaipa Christian Church and volunteering weekly at the Redlands Community Hospital. He also enjoys teaching scuba as an active dive master. But his true love is spending time with his wife and two children.
